I’m Rick James ‘get my magazine’ BITCH
September 19, 2007 · Leave a Comment
I’ve just woken up from the weekend, perhaps the best weekend ever. Saw the milky way, ate some good food, danced with ultra good friends and left with most of my dignity. I’ve got an amazing bruise which I’ll take some photo’s of in a bit. Cant remember how or when I got it, Sarah really seemed to like it, apparently, it makes me look double hard! I think it makes me look ill, not in that good ‘hip hop’ way but more in a ‘you should go and see a doctor’ kind of way.
Ok, quick life update. Got a chat with the best creative director in London about ‘a cunning plan’, sounds vvvv interesting! After taking 2 months off to do Bones Magazine, I’m floating around the work market to get a job. As most will know the last place was like forcing cockroaches into your own eyes. BAD NEWS! I’m losing my life to MIT OpenCourseWare (learning all kinds of new and amazing things), Other than that, everyone else is mad good!, if you’ve noticed a slight hip hop twang in this post, I’m getting in role to interview a massive hip hop star for the next issue of
Bones Magazine – The Hardcore Issue!
Nothing more will be said!!!!!??Q!?!??!?!?
And If you haven’t already go and get Bones Magazine, Women love it, Men want to be it!

August 13, 2007 · Leave a Comment
Hello Hello
well its been a while eh? well I’ve been crazy busy getting bones finished, we’ve got some great interviews. PixelH8, V/vm, Robin Porter from Immigrant Records who’s also doing the first Audio Podcast, Hak from the NKA talking about being gay and painting trains, the Intrud3rs urban explorers from Paris… God there’s so much in fact its 70 odd pages long. The First video artist is Studio Seen from up north. iTunes told us that we’re included in the podcast directory, cool!
On a personal, i stop working in the hell hole i was at over a month ago! man was it bad! but in a classic shot in the foot I’m now ‘in between jobs’ and man it totally sucks. so if you need a happy designer/art director/jack of all trades drop me a line! because i totally need to buy the new hunting jacket from FUCT, its going to come with hunting orange embroidery, cool! I’m getting much better at meditating and lucid dreaming!
Anyway, enjoy the ad I made for Bones and its out at the end of the week!!

Type Experiments Letter 1a?
February 20, 2007 · Leave a Comment
Typographic experiments, 3d letterforms. The principle is to destroy legibility, to challenge the viewer to decode the letter. I expanded the basic structure to break from the pseudo-illegible and really push the underlying frame to its limits, though this letter is the most extreme it is a good example of what I’m trying to create.
Which Letter is it??

Right i’ve been quite convinced that we’re in the future, just go and have look, i’ve got my midi shoes on, conected by wifi, i can controll the internet with a little tango. Recent advances with tech have lead to techniques that were unimaginable two weeks ago, nintendo have created the future of music and this show that the individual is now able to actually conntect with electronic music as never before and individuals are creating thinks that look like the start of something amazing, i reckons we’ll have a few more genre’s coming out of the techno bubble around idm.
Please have a look at this its the future!

Well, its been, a real hard 3 years. After my dad, things changed for the worst and I can honestly say the i rue the day that life changed. It has been a interesting journey and I’ve learnt alot and met people that i’m very glad i met. But its a new year for and this year, I want the things that i worked so hard for and sacrificed things for. Philosophy and making music and coming up with ideas. Three things for three years.

I am speechless, if this isn’t the future then i’ll od of food pills. Nintendo DS based wifi midi controller!, you could do this on a sega master system. 0xtob and TheRain have got the ball rolling with the future of music. Its amazing, they’ve made the software that makes me want a DS, something that nintendo have failed in. Download it and ‘Nintendo – Send them money’, loads and loads of money! check the video. It’ll explain everything. But my tipster has leaked information about the next release.
Features WILL included.
A small, caged clone of Les Dennis
21-Gun slaute
A medium sized, free-range clone of the ugly one out of Autechre
Nude Only Feature, Make train journies fun by making fellow commuters feel uncomfortable. More detail to follow.

squarepusher, originally uploaded by ILLPerson.
Right its been a few day since my last post, Went to see Squarepusher on Thursday. I was completly blown way he alway manages to amaze, the big led screens that were at the front of the stage (see the photo!) he rocked the bass guitar and the preview of His new album, Hello Everything, was good, soon as i got back home i bought it off bleep ( best online music store), saw Amy Wine house in the pub before we went down, she is tiny! but rather bizarely more attractive in real life then on her posters.
Did some more filming for the BBC, and saw a job that i want, being poor is rubbish! Just have to buy Portfolio selves and make some buisness cards. Then the world!! hahahahaaha ah aha cough cough”

Alan Fletcher – 1931-2006.
October 16, 2006 · Leave a Comment
ALAN, originally uploaded by tguzzle.
Alan Fletcher was my hero all the way through college and uni, when i got a copy of The Art of Looking Sideways, i was blown away. It was a defining moment in my life and gave me something to work towards. To try to reach the level that he had reached in career. Then for Three Magazine’s religon issue i contacted him and asked him if he’d do an illustration for me. I was on the bus when my phone rang from a number i didn’t know. It was Alan Fletcher asking me what I’d like for the magazine, Mouth went dry, stumbling my words and i was so in awe that i think he could tell, he was the nicest guy. we spoke on the phone a few more times and i was so made up that my hero called me and did work for me. Alan Fletcher was an inspiration and a true legend in our field. We owe him a lot. Alan you will be greatly missed.

Happy hardcore sunrise
October 14, 2006 · Leave a Comment
Yo! i haven’t posted in couple of days, The delay with the PS3 has been making me quite upset, But i still can’t wait. Found my Gameboy so i can start making some more 8bit music yum! my old neighbour Jenny was down, we went to the Tate to have a go on the slides, Ace! Jenny is a textile designer who i’m trying to convince to move down to LLLAAANNNDDDAAAANNNN! but i’ll show you some of her work in a bit. Got a couple of books on the go. The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins is so good, really puts faith and god into perspective. Went to Blek le Rat’s exhibition a couple of days ago. The god father of stencil graffiti, really good show, topped off with Blek donating a canvass to The Big Issue and chat from the founder of said magazine. Met up woth Toiletboy last night, he has been working Bass for his dubstep collection ‘WWWOOOHHWOOOHHRRRW WWWWOOOOPPP PP PP PPPPPP’ thats how it sounds! i’ll put a link up when he’s done. Missed the D*Srace exhibition, what a shame!, Went to waterloo to get a portfolio box, shop was shut. Should of checked opening times you say? i say, i had a lovely trip to the river! Yesterday, was working, being an accounts assistant is great fun, We watched the new extras twice, the funniest thing on TV man! But its a shame because not a lot of people are into Ricky’s podcast’s, go to itunes and please get them so you too can meet Karl ’round head’ Pilkinton!
today i’m chilling, just went for Pie & Mash , if you don’t know it’s traditional cockney food! been listening to some Happy Hardcore and i think i’m off to Toilet’s studio to make some beats! and i think i might have to start myspacing soon!
have a good weekend!

Jeni Mattson, has absolutly killed it with the lockpick business card. its so good i want to cry! check the pic and follow the link! heres what Jeni’s site says
A hacker, entrepreneur, and all around mischief maker, Melvin wanted something he could give to peers and prospective clients that spoke of this nature.
A lockpick concept was chosen very early on, and the post production results were excellent. The picks can quite easily be removed from the card and are entirely functional as lockpicks.

Its Bloody hellfish!!!
October 8, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Bloody hell. The man behind deathchant records and my favourite producer!, the man is dark! a Bastardization of hip hop and gabba. Hellfish has spawned many imitators but he is the true creator, he has gone the way of the homeboy and was the wolfman with the iron hand. Tendancy to speed drinking and a rude atttiude. Hailed as the compression warrior of the toilet wars. Its been a journey of force (bastard mix).
