squarepusher, originally uploaded by ILLPerson.

Right its been a few day since my last post, Went to see Squarepusher on Thursday. I was completly blown way he alway manages to amaze, the big led screens that were at the front of the stage (see the photo!) he rocked the bass guitar and the preview of His new album, Hello Everything, was good, soon as i got back home i bought it off bleep ( best online music store), saw Amy Wine house in the pub before we went down, she is tiny! but rather bizarely more attractive in real life then on her posters.
Did some more filming for the BBC, and saw a job that i want, being poor is rubbish! Just have to buy Portfolio selves and make some buisness cards. Then the world!! hahahahaaha ah aha cough cough”

Alan Fletcher – 1931-2006.

October 16, 2006 · 1 Comment

ALAN, originally uploaded by tguzzle.

Alan Fletcher was my hero all the way through college and uni, when i got a copy of The Art of Looking Sideways, i was blown away. It was a defining moment in my life and gave me something to work towards. To try to reach the level that he had reached in career. Then for Three Magazine’s religon issue i contacted him and asked him if he’d do an illustration for me. I was on the bus when my phone rang from a number i didn’t know. It was Alan Fletcher asking me what I’d like for the magazine, Mouth went dry, stumbling my words and i was so in awe that i think he could tell, he was the nicest guy. we spoke on the phone a few more times and i was so made up that my hero called me and did work for me. Alan Fletcher was an inspiration and a true legend in our field. We owe him a lot. Alan you will be greatly missed.

Pilotless drones are being considered in the fight against anti social behaviour in liverpool! man this dosen’t look too good. Biometric id cards, more cctv cameras then the rest of the world and now drones? well, i suppose the end of personal freedom is here. its unbelievable when they talk about terrorists who are against our why of life and threaten our freedom when our own leaders are taking our freedom. Dam shame that no one really seem to notice or care?

Happy hardcore sunrise

October 14, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Yo! i haven’t posted in couple of days, The delay with the PS3 has been making me quite upset, But i still can’t wait. Found my Gameboy so i can start making some more 8bit music yum! my old neighbour Jenny was down, we went to the Tate to have a go on the slides, Ace! Jenny is a textile designer who i’m trying to convince to move down to LLLAAANNNDDDAAAANNNN! but i’ll show you some of her work in a bit. Got a couple of books on the go. The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins is so good, really puts faith and god into perspective. Went to Blek le Rat’s exhibition a couple of days ago. The god father of stencil graffiti, really good show, topped off with Blek donating a canvass to The Big Issue and chat from the founder of said magazine. Met up woth Toiletboy last night, he has been working Bass for his dubstep collection ‘WWWOOOHHWOOOHHRRRW WWWWOOOOPPP PP PP PPPPPP’ thats how it sounds! i’ll put a link up when he’s done. Missed the D*Srace exhibition, what a shame!, Went to waterloo to get a portfolio box, shop was shut. Should of checked opening times you say? i say, i had a lovely trip to the river! Yesterday, was working, being an accounts assistant is great fun, We watched the new extras twice, the funniest thing on TV man! But its a shame because not a lot of people are into Ricky’s podcast’s, go to itunes and please get them so you too can meet Karl ’round head’ Pilkinton!

today i’m chilling, just went for Pie & Mash , if you don’t know it’s traditional cockney food! been listening to some Happy Hardcore and i think i’m off to Toilet’s studio to make some beats! and i think i might have to start myspacing soon!

have a good weekend!

I guess there no point even trying

October 9, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Every now and then someone comes up with an idea that makes you go

‘why didn’t i think of that!’

(*pinching myself hard)

Jeni Mattson, has absolutly killed it with the lockpick business card. its so good i want to cry! check the pic and follow the link! heres what Jeni’s site says

A hacker, entrepreneur, and all around mischief maker, Melvin wanted something he could give to peers and prospective clients that spoke of this nature.

A lockpick concept was chosen very early on, and the post production results were excellent. The picks can quite easily be removed from the card and are entirely functional as lockpicks.

Its Bloody hellfish!!!

October 8, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Bloody hell. The man behind deathchant records and my favourite producer!, the man is dark! a Bastardization of hip hop and gabba. Hellfish has spawned many imitators but he is the true creator, he has gone the way of the homeboy and was the wolfman with the iron hand. Tendancy to speed drinking and a rude atttiude. Hailed as the compression warrior of the toilet wars. Its been a journey of force (bastard mix).

scream_lp_ad.jpg

Well i was listening to him the other day on rinse, show went down. Skream is a sub bass monster! he pushes the buttons on the heaviest tunes out there. On a level, h’s bringing out he’s album on the 16th of october. cant wait, rizla’s and ribena i think!

this is what his label is saying!

“No man can keep Skream down right now as he unleashes a slew of new dubs for the dancefloor. The latest instalment in the Skreamizm series sees Blipstream, Welcome 2 The Future, 0800 Dub, Deep Concentration, Morning Blues and Dub Period. Skream is currently working on his much anticipated debut album due for release later this year. For sneak previews check him on Rinse FM’s ‘Stella Sessions’ launched recently with the immortal line: ‘welcome planet Earth to the Skream show’.”
